How are SES interviews different from EL2 interviews?

EL2 interviews focus on functional leadership, while SES interviews assess enterprise-wide impact, stakeholder navigation, and alignment with the DRIVE behaviours.

What is the weighting of behaviour in SES assessments?

Under the new SES Performance Leadership Framework, behaviour comprises 50% of the overall rating. If your behaviours are not "on track," you cannot be rated "on track" overall, regardless of your operational outcomes.

Does state-level experience count for APS SES roles?

Yes, but it must be translated. We map State Gov levels (like NSW SES Band 1 or VIC Grade 7) to Federal WLS factors to ensure your experience is recognised at the correct work value.
